Computer Forensics

At Blackhawk we have highly skilled and experienced  computer forensics analysis capabilities, which can be deployed in the following example areas:-

  • Data recovery
  • Employee internet misuse
  • Criminal fraud and deception cases
  • Suspected competitor foul play
  • Unauthorised transfer or removal of confidential information including customer or supplier data
  • Intellectual property theft
  • Employment law investigations
As with all services we provide, we consult at the outset with clients as to their objectives and the  cost / benefit of any possible investigation. With computer forensics or data recovery, the procedure usually is to :-
  • Secure the computer unit(s) in question to prevent tampering
  • Obtain and copy the hard drive
  • Identify and recover all files (including recoverable deleted files)
  • Access hidden, protected and/or temporary files
  • Investigate data/settings from installed applications and programs

Once a thorough computer forensic analysis has been completed and/or data recovery finalised, we will provide a detailed written report. We can also arrange for our London computer forensic experts to produce a witness statement detailing their findings. Our team are experienced in giving evidence in civil or criminal proceedings as computer forensics expert witnesses.

In these cases, time is often of the essence, so please telephone us now or use  computer forensics contact form.
